About Oren Raz

Oren Raz, MA, MFT.

is a licensed psychotherapist and educator. He incorporates the insights of attachment theories, emotional intelligence, interpersonal- neurobiology and mindfulness practices while focusing on the healing power of the relationship. His Israeli origins gives him particular sensitivity to those who are dealing with difficult cultural or emotional passages in their lives.

Oren was born and raised in Israel. After graduating from Tel-Aviv University in 1994 with degrees in Philosophy and Psychology, Oren came to the United States in 1997. Pursuing Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, he received his Master's degree with honors.

Oren has extensive experience working with trauma survivors--including those who have experienced early childhood abuse and/or neglect, those struggling with substance abuse, domestic abuse, depression, and anxiety. He worked for a major nonprofit organization, principally helping children, teens and their parents from various cultures, ethnicities and background. He currently works with individuals, couples, children, and teens in his private practice located in the heart of Los Angeles as well as supervising/training other clinicians.
